Conceptual Work No. 1 – 6, Auswahl
Work in progress, Form und Grösse ortsspezifisch variabel, Tusche auf Chinapapier, 520-540 cm x 45 cm, zusammengerollt zu Hohlzylindern. Dies sind weiterführende Arbeiten meiner raumgreifenden Installation Kreise ziehen – Konstellation Nr. 1 von 2021.
Die unterschiedlichen Objekte sind Architekturen von skulpturalen Körpern, die sequenziell aus Hohlzylindern zusammengesetzt sind. Diese sind aus zusammengerollten langen, schmalen Papierbahnen, auf welchen unterschiedliche Bewegungsmuster von Tuschekreisen und zufälligen Klecksen gezeichnet sind.
Die aus den Hohlzylindern einfach aufgebauten Objekte lassen sich ortsspezifisch vielfältig in die umgebende Architektur einbinden. Mit ihrer eigenwilligen und eigenständigen Gestalt und starken Präsenz ermöglichen sie auf der Rezeptionsebene neue Raum- und Wahrnehmungserfahrungen. Damit wird die Zeichnung als Zeichen, als geometrischer Körper und neuartige Architektur auch zum Reflexionsraum, in dem die einfach aufgebauten Objekte auf komplexe Inhalte verweisen.
Die Papierbahn als zweidimensionales Trägermaterial bezeichnet Bewegungspotentiale auf verschiedenen Ebenen. Ausgerollt als Bahn ist sie Träger von Bewegungsmustern, die aus Kreisen aufgebaut sind und ein weites Feld von Assoziationen eröffnen. Durch das Zusammenrollen und der dadurch bedingten Formveränderung zum geometrischen Körper des Hohlzylinders, konzentriert sich dieses Potential in einer neuen Gestalt und erweitert sich um ein weiteres Zeichen, der Spirale. Kreis und Spirale sind frühe Symbole in der Menschheitsgeschichte. Die Spirale kommt in verschiedensten Formen als wichtiges Aufbauprinzip häufig in der Natur vor.

Work in progress, Shape and size variable according to locationInk on Chinese paper, 520-540 cm x 45 cm, rolled up into tubes. These are continuative works of my room-sized installation Drawing Circles - Constellation No. 1 from 2021.
The various objects are architectures of sculptural bodies sequentially assembled from cylindrical hollow forms. These are made of rolled up long, narrow paper webs on which different patterns of movement are drawn by ink circles and random blots.
The objects, simply constructed from the hollow cylinders, can be integrated into the surrounding architecture in a variety of site-specific ways. With their idiosyncratic and independent form and strong presence, they enable new spatial and perceptual experiences on the reception level. In this way, the drawing as sign, as geometric body and novel architecture also becomes a space of reflection in which the simply constructed objects refer to complex contents.
The paper web as a two-dimensional carrier material denotes movement potentials on different levels. Unrolled as a panel, it is a carrier of movement patterns that are built up from circles and open up a wide field of associations. By rolling it up and the resulting change of form to the geometric body of the hollow cylinder, this potential is concentrated in a new shape and expands to include another symbol, the spiral. Circle and spiral are early symbols in human history. The spiral is frequently found in nature in various forms as an important structural principle.
